Do Colored Contact Lenses make your eyes dry?
If regular lenses make your eyes feel dry and painful to wear, silicone hydrogel is what we recommend 🩵
What is silicone hydrogel?
It’s a material made by combining “silicone,” which allows a very large amount of oxygen to pass through, and “hydrogel,” which contains moisture and feels soft and comfortable on the eyes.
It helps prevent oxygen deprivation in the eyes better than conventional lenses, while reducing dryness and sticking.
[High oxygen permeability]
Because the material itself lets oxygen pass directly, it can deliver several to several dozen times more oxygen to the cornea than conventional lenses, helping reduce eye redness and corneal problems.
[Less likely to dry out]
Because many products have a low Water Content and don’t require much moisture from tears, there’s less evaporation from the lens, so they’re comfortable to wear even if you’re prone to dry eyes.
